Hope’s Harvest RI, which mobilizes volunteers to rescue surplus produce from local farms and distributes it to hunger relief agencies, is seeking volunteers to harvest, sort, and pack food. Volunteers receive email notifications when trips become available and can sign up as their schedule allows. Join UWRI on Saturday, June 1, for their annual Day of Action. Volunteers sort, label, and pack books, preparing them for distribution to youth in RI summer learning programs. Two shifts are available: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Lunch and snacks are provided. All ages are welcome.
