  • The 2nd Annual 401 Film Fest – Friday, Oct 21 thru Sunday Oct 23
  • 401 Film Fest was started to provide the independent filmmakers, students and enthusiasts alike, with little/no funding and students of Rhode Island with the local film event that they deserve. This festival was created for anyone passionate about video production, filmmakers or viewers. They accept films from all over the world, but with at least 50% Rhode Island acceptance into the festival.  Proceeds from the event go to benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Ocean State.
  • Friday & Saturday at The Arctic Playhouse – Doors at 7pm (Mature Audiences)
  • Sunday at Dean’s List Academy – Doors at 12pm (Family Friendly)

Wicked Fun in the 401

  • Part of Home Coming & Family Weekend at RWU
  • Saturday, October 22 at the beautiful Roger Williams University Campus in Bristol, RI – It’s a fun, slow pitch game with our current RWU softball team! Bring along significant others, kids, and parents.  Perfect if you have high-school or even younger softball players, a great game to take in, especially during the fall!

  • Saturday at 5 PM – 9 PM at the steel yard in providence
  • General admission tickets are $10.
  • This theatrical display of the industrial arts attracts over 1,500 people including artists, fabricators, families, and friends to 27 Sims Avenue in Providence, RI every year. For this performance, artists harness the power of our custom-built iron tilt furnace to pour over 2,500 pounds of luminous, molten iron. People return annually not only for the sparky performance and the numerous steel and iron props that we build in our own studio, but also for the phenomenal local music and food.

  • 7th Annual Amazing Wish Race – Benefiting Children’s Wishes
  • Gather you challenge teammates for the 7th Annual RI Amazing Wish Race 2016 hosted by Louis Stravato of The Amazing Race Season 16!
  • On October 22, 2016, teams will be given clues for multiple challenge sites and will travel there with their team to compete for the best time doing some type of mind boggling or slightly physical challenge! Teams are not timed getting to the each challenge site so no need for speed! Cumulative best times with be tallied and the top 3 teams will be awarded prizes at the after party!
  • Team fundraising incentive: Top fundraising teams will have a celebrity to compete with them: Louis Stravato-Amazing Race Season 16; Michael Naylor-Amazing Race Season 16; Michelle Costa- Big Brother Season 9; Jason Roy- Big Brother Season 17; Derrick Lavasseaur- Big Brother Season 16 WINNER and current star of Discovery ID’s Hard Evidence; Jim Vaglica- Expeditilon Impossible and True Grit!
  • Varnum Memorial Armory Museum in East Greenwich
  • Saturday Oct 22 at 6pm
  • This event is for women and men, so bring a date!
  • Tickets are available for sale online (http://pinkpartyri.com/) OR at Highlights Salon (559 Main St, East Greenwich). $40 at door. Tickets includes dinner, cash bar, door prizes, silent auction items, survivor fashion show and dancing.
