exist to showcase alumni and student work, provide a testing ground for entrepreneurial efforts and new work, and to offer the local community a chance to interact with RISD work and artists/designers on a personal level.

Artists in the sales are RISD alumni or current RISD students selling original work including paintings, prints, photographs, apparel, ceramics, glass, textiles, home goods, stationery, furniture and much more!

The sales are coordinated by RISD’s Alumni Relations, Office of Institutional Engagement.

Brown Figure Skating Club Presents: The 2016 Winter Olympics

It’s the Official Practice for the 2016 Winter Olympic Figure Skating in Providence, Rhode Island. If you don’t already have a gold medal, NOW is your time.
In the unlikely event that you haven’t been landing your triple salchows as easily as you’d like, this event will be a chance to learn some cool new tricks and brush up on old ones, such as staying upright, slowing down, and stopping!!!!!!!
The Brown Figure Skating Club is hosting this Learn to Skate party with fun music, fun people, and many opportunities to face-plant in front of all your peers.
 Skates and lessons will be provided with your purchase of a $7 ticket prior to the event.
If you have your own pair of skates, tickets for entry are $2. A link will be posted here when tickets are available.
Come out and show them what you’ve got at Meehan Auditorium on Sunday!

The American Band Concert

Sunday at 2pm at Scituate High School
The American Band continues its 180th season with a FREE concert featuring fantastic classical works and holiday favorites in recognition of our first responders – Veterans, Police, Fire, and EMS. Hosted by Mike Montecalvo of WPRI 12, Produced by Lt Gen (RET) Reginald Centracchio, and Sponsored by the Scituate Art Festival and the Town of Scituate Recreation Department.

Annual Sons of Santa Ride & Toy Drive in Westerly – Saturday

The Annual Sons of Santa Ride and Toy Drive is Saturday and. This year they are riding in memory of Dorian Murray to remember what #Dstrong stands for and how 1 child brought so much awareness to childhood cancer.
Come get some pics with the S.O.S and if you would like, bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate.
The Sons of Santa will be at the Franklin Plaza from 12:00-12:30p.
All donations go to the Tower Street Community Center for distribution to local families.

Written and directed by local comedian Frank O’Donnell, the franchise returns to Academy Players in Providence, all proceeds go to benefit the Kerri O’Donnell Memorial Fund which grants scholarships for kids who express an interest in the performing arts.

For six years, the Ant’ny Claus family has been entertaining Rhode Islanders with the story of Santa’s younger brother – aka, the back-up plan.   In ANT’NY CLAUS 2: A DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY SEQUEL, Ant’ny’s triumphant return home after his first time taking over the reins from his big brother is tarnished by a small accident with big implications. They could be in big trouble with the most notorious man in Rhode Island, making for a calamity-filled day at Ant’ny’s North Providence raised ranch.

Be sure to bring in new, unwrapped toys for needy children in our local area. Each location will feature a radio personality, from either B101, 94HJY-The Home of Rock and Roll or Coast 93.3 with prize giveaways including tickets to Edaville USA!
