The 2017 Pawtucket St. Patrick’s Parade & Celebration 

  • Saturday March 4th!

  • The parade starts at noon sharp on Saturday, March 4th. The starting behind McCoy Stadium, at the corner of Division and South Bend.
  • The parade can be viewed from South Bend, Walcott, across the highway down past APEX, and ending at City Hall.
  • Following the parade join us in the Armory on Exchange St. for the huge after party! Food, drinks, vendors, and live Irish music from 1pm until the early evening usually. (6pm)

  • The Guinness Tour De Patrick is a 3 part 5K race series in Rhode Island over the month of March where runners and walkers can run/walk and accumulate their times and score in the overall Tour De Patrick in addition to scoring at each individual race.

Smithfield Elks Lodge Annual Steak Fry to benefit Operation Stand Down RI

Family Day Fun

  • The Middletown Prevention Coalition (MPC) will host the eighth annual Middletown Family Day on Sunday, March 5, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Newport County YMCA.
  • The free health and wellness event celebrates parental engagement and the building of healthy families. Attendees will have access to the YMCA’s facilities, including the basketball courts and swimming pool. There will be featured activities and demonstrations throughout the day, including martial arts demonstrations, bouncy houses, face-painting, healthy cooking demos, kids games, yoga and Zumba. The Middletown Fire and Police departments will provide “touch-a-truck” activities.

Maple Sugaring through the Audobon Society

  • Saturday at 9 AM – 12 PM
  • Step back in time at the Audubon Caratunk Wildlife Refuge to experience maple sugaring. Discover how Native Americans started maple sugaring and how to make this sweet syrup in your own backyard. Taste first hand this delectable treat over breakfast. Sample pancakes, muffins and other tasty treats – all with fresh maple syrup. Tours begin every 15 minutes starting at 9:00 am. Please register in advance, this is a popular program and space is limited.
  • Program Fee: $12/member adult, $6/member child; $18/non-member adult/ $9/non-member child. Ages: 5 and up.
