Angela Hickey
This Jersey girl’s obsession began in 2012 when Starz announced plans to adapt the best-selling time travel book series, Outlander. Curious, she reached for the stones and was transported. By the show’s premiere, Angela had consumed everything Diana Gabaldon had written twice over.
With a background in Public Relations studying audiences, communication, and motivations, Angela was a natural fit for the world Diana built: rich characters, layered perspective, and fantastic dialogue. She found a home at Outlander Cast during season one, where Mary and Blake gave her a platform to share insights and build lasting friendships around the fandom.
Her Outlander Cast work reflects that mix of passion and analysis. Angela writes about character journeys, theme, history, adaptation, and the broader emotional architecture of the series. Beyond the archive, she teaches an Outlander course and co-leads a Gabaldon book study.
