Wicked Nice
Wicked Rhody is proud to partner with the United Way of Rhode Island, helping to spread the word about wonderful opportunities for you, your family, and your friends can volunteer in and around Rhode Island!
Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (Providence) — Volunteer Mentors
RISE, which provides educational opportunities and mentoring to children of incarcerated parents, is seeking volunteers to mentor children and youth ages 7 – 15. Mentors and mentees spend at least 6 hours per month engaged in community-based activities together. A minimum commitment of 1 year is required. If you’re 21 or older and have access to a car, contact Kaitlin at kdellagrotta@riseonline.org or 401-421-2010.
Save the Bay (Cranston/Warwick) — International Coastal Cleanup Volunteers
Save the Bay is looking for volunteers to pick up trash and record what they find in conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup. Join them at Oakland Beach on 10/17 from 2 – 4 p.m., Tongue Pond on 10/24 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., or Pawtuxet Park on 11/02 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, contact July at jlewis@savebay.org or 401-272-3540 ext. 130.
