We have a new partnership – East Greenwich Animal Protection League – each week we’ll feature a furry friend in need of a forever home!
If you have been thinking about adding a new family member then think about meeting Luna! Her light golden coat is accentuated by sparkling chocolate brown eyes and she has legs for days…if you are a runner, hiker or love long walks she may be just the girl for you! She has all the great qualities you would want in a pet.
Luna is sweet, smart, playful and adorable! Her best home would include a fenced in yard and no small, young children as she is very active! Luna may even make a great playmate if you already have a dog. She is a 10 month old Potcake (mixed breed dogs found on several Caribbean Islands) who traveled all the way from Haiti to find a forever family.
She is available at the Abandoned dogs of Rhode Island located at 29 Paris Irons Road in Gloucester, Rhode Island.

Dare to Dream Ranch (Foster) – Development Director
Dare to Dream Ranch offers alternative therapy programs to service members, veterans, and their families. They need volunteers to assist with fundraising initiatives such as events, merchandise, and grant applications. Volunteers must be 18 or older. Interested? Johnnycake Center of Peace Dale (Peace Dale) – Food Pantry Volunteers
Volunteers are in need to serve visitors, stock shelves, accept and sort donations, and distribute school vacation meals. Shifts are available Tuesday – Saturday. Interested? Contact Kate at volunteer@johnnycakecenter.org or 401-789-1559 ext. 11.
