Harry Potter is seven books, eight movies, HBO’s television adaptation, decades of fandom, and a story that feels different depending on when you return to it. This is the front door to Mary & Blake’s Potterverse, where our Books, Movies, HBO, and podcast coverage all connect without asking any one page to do every job.
We care about the magic, lore, casting, creatures, theories, and weird little details, but the questions that keep us at the table are usually about character, choice, story structure, filmmaking, adaptation, friendship, sacrifice, institutional failure, and why certain scenes still land years later.
How Do You Want To Explore Harry Potter?
Each major part of our Harry Potter coverage now has its own permanent home. Pick the version of the story you want right now, and that hub will take you deeper without mixing search intent or forcing you through unrelated coverage.
Follow casting, production, trailers, release information, seasons, episode coverage, explainers, and our ongoing argument about what television can genuinely do differently with the source material.
Read all seven novels in order and move into our individual book bosses, chapter guides, Potterverse discussions, character analysis, storycraft, and page-to-screen conversations.
Watch all eight films in order and explore our Potterverse movie reviews, filmmaking analysis, adaptation choices, performances, music, and the visual language HBO now has to coexist with.
The kitchen table connecting the books, movies, and HBO. Mary & Blake talk character, story, adaptation, filmmaking, emotion, theories, and whichever Harry Potter rabbit hole refuses to leave us alone.
Following HBO’s Harry Potter?
The television adaptation is where the active Potter conversation is moving next. The HBO Series Guide owns the adaptation as a whole, while the Season 1 hub owns Harry’s first television year and will become the center of our weekly episode coverage once the season begins.
Story, source material, cast, adaptation questions, episode coverage, and everything connected specifically to the first HBO season.
The permanent home for the television series across production, casting, trailers, major news, future seasons, and franchise-level analysis.

What Kind Of Harry Potter Coverage Do We Make?
We are not trying to build a trivia encyclopedia. The Potterverse is interested in what Harry Potter is doing underneath the lore: why Harry trusts somebody, why Hermione chooses to lie, why a friendship breaks, why a mystery points us in the wrong direction, why a sacrifice matters, or why one adaptation decision changes the meaning of an entire scene.
That still leaves plenty of room for casting, theories, creatures, spells, weird details, rankings, and fandom arguments. We just like pulling a chair closer when those details reveal something about character, craft, filmmaking, adaptation, or what it costs these kids to grow up inside a story everyone already thinks they know.
What Does A “Faithful” Harry Potter Adaptation Actually Mean?
Restoring more scenes from the novels does not automatically create a stronger adaptation. The real test is whether the new version understands the dramatic function underneath those scenes: Harry’s point of view, the mysteries that mislead him, the choices that define people, and the emotional consequences that make the magic matter.
