Wicked Nice

Wicked Rhody is proud to partner with the United Way of Rhode Island, helping to spread the word about wonderful opportunities for you, your family, and your friends can volunteer in and around Rhode Island!

Save The Bay (Newport) — Exploration Center & Aquarium Volunteers

Save The Bay (STB) needs volunteers for their Exploration Center & Aquarium. Volunteers welcome visitors, help them interact with STB’s hands-on exhibits, and teach them about the animals that live in Narragansett Bay. Shifts are available from 9:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 12:45 – 4 p.m.; hours of operation vary by season. Commitment: at least one shift per month. Volunteers must attend an orientation before beginning. If you’re 16 or older, contact July at jlewis@savebay.org or 401-272-3540 x130.

The Empowerment Factory (Pawtucket) — Fundraising Committee Volunteers

The Empowerment Factory aims to inspire local youth and their families through arts-based educational programming. They’re seeking volunteers with experience in marketing, development, sponsor relationships, and nonprofit growth for their Fundraising Committee. Interested? Contact Gail at gail@empowermentfactory.org or 401-365-1010.
