RI CASA, which advocates within the legal system for abused and neglected children, is seeking volunteers to visit with children and report on their well-being while their cases go through court. Volunteers must complete a background check and a 30-hour training program. The next training begins on June 4, 2019 at the Kent County Courthouse. Application deadline: May 30, 2019. If you’re 21 or older, contact cmartone@courts.ri.gov to obtain an application. Meals on Wheels of RI, which distributes nutritious meals to elderly Rhode Islanders throughout the state, needs volunteers to deliver meals Monday – Friday during lunch hours.
