The Rings Of Power Season 1 Recap
Galadriel has spent centuries hunting Sauron after the death of her brother Finrod. Her search leads her company into the frozen north, where they discover evidence that Sauron survived Morgoth’s defeat. Her soldiers mutiny, and Galadriel is sent back to Lindon. Gil-galad rewards her service with passage to Valinor, but she cannot accept peace while she believes Sauron remains alive.

He suggests combining the mithril with another metal to strengthen its properties, giving Celebrimbor the idea that eventually leads to the creation of the Three Rings.
Galadriel becomes suspicious when Celebrimbor begins repeating language similar to words she previously heard from Adar. She researches the history of the Southlands and discovers that its royal line has been dead for approximately a thousand years. When she confronts Halbrand, he admits that he is Sauron.

Bronwyn discovers that the nearby village of Hordern has been destroyed. Her son Theo finds a broken black sword hilt bearing Sauron’s mark. The weapon feeds on blood and reforms into a blade when Theo uses it.
The Southlanders retreat to the Elven watchtower of Ostirith before preparing a defense at Tirharad. Arondir, Bronwyn, Theo, and the remaining villagers resist Adar’s army while Galadriel, Halbrand, Elendil, Isildur, and the Númenóreans cross the sea to help them.
The combined forces defeat Adar’s army, and Halbrand is presented as the returning king of the Southlands. Their victory is temporary because the object recovered from Adar is a decoy. Waldreg, one of the Southlanders who pledged himself to Adar, still possesses the real sword hilt.

Three mysterious figures pursue the Stranger because they believe he is Sauron. When they finally confront him, they attempt to restore his supposed identity and direct him toward Rhûn. Nori and the Harfoots intervene, giving the Stranger the opportunity to choose who he wants to become.
