What Is The Rings Of Power Season 3 About?
Season 3 begins five years after the fall of Eregion. Middle-earth is already at war, and Sauron’s armies have expanded across much of the world. The remaining resistance survives in isolated strongholds, including Khazad-dûm and the Elven realms of Lindon and Rivendell, where the Three Rings help protect the Elves from Sauron’s growing power.
Sauron has also completed Barad-dûr in Mordor. From that tower, he works to create the weapon that can bring every other Ring and realm under his control: the One Ring.
That gives Season 3 a much clearer dramatic center than the series has had before. Sauron wants to forge the One Ring and dominate Middle-earth. The five-year jump allows Season 3 to begin after the conditions of war have already hardened. Sauron no longer needs to establish his identity or prove that he is dangerous. His armies are moving, his fortress has been built, and his plan for the One Ring is already underway.
The elapsed time can also show how the choices made during the first two seasons have changed entire kingdoms. The Elves are living with the power and danger of their Rings. The War Of The Elves And Sauron
The fall of Eregion marked the end of Sauron’s most successful deception and the beginning of open war. As Annatar, Sauron manipulated Celebrimbor into completing the Rings while isolating him from everyone capable of exposing the lie. Who Is Celeborn In The Rings Of Power Season 3?
Celeborn is Galadriel’s husband and one of the most important Elves in the larger history of Middle-earth. Galadriel revealed during Season 1 that she had not seen him since he left for war, leaving his fate unresolved throughout the first two seasons.

Galadriel survived her confrontation with Sauron, while Elrond and the surviving Elves began establishing Rivendell as a refuge.
