Wicked Rhody is proud to partner with the United Way of Rhode Island, helping to spread the word about wonderful opportunities for you, your family, and your friends can volunteer in and around Rhode Island! 

 

SVDP Rhode Island (Cranston) — Helpline Volunteers

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is looking for helpline volunteers to assist Rhode Islanders seeking basic human needs. Shifts can be 4 hours (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. / 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or 8 hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday – Friday. Contact: Renee at rbrissette@svdpri.org.

 

Save the Bay Swim (Newport/Jamestown) — Volunteers

Save the Bay needs volunteers for The Swim on July 27. Newport (5:45 – 10:00 a.m.): responsibilities include inspecting/unloading kayaks and parking. Jamestown (7:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.): responsibilities include checking out kayaks, monitoring finish line barriers, and parking. Interested? Contact July at jlewis@savebay.org.
