In this episode of Outlander Cast, Mary and Blake break down the reaction to Outlander 8.07, “Evidence of Things Not Seen” — an hour that somehow manages to be emotionally devastating, structurally maddening, and weirdly compelling all at the same time.
There is real stuff here that works. Jamie and Claire living under the shadow of Frank’s book. Lord John once again proving he is the only adult in the room. The emotional gut-punch of Fergus’ death. And some genuinely strong scene work from Toni Graphia.
But then the Faith reveal crashes through the wall and changes the conversation entirely.
Mary and Blake dig into why this episode feels so split against itself, why the Faith/Master Raymond/Jane/Fanny twist swallows everything else around it, and why Blake thinks this is not really a Toni Graphia failure at all — but a larger Matt Roberts showrunner problem.
